Yes. We grind stumps below grade so you can plant, seed, or pave, either with the removal or on its own. It is quoted with the removal, and it costs less when we grind it while the crew is already there.
A removal quote from Trailhead tells you whether the stump is in the number. Many cheaper quotes leave it out, and the stump is the part you look at every day.
- Below grade. We grind several inches under the soil line so you can seed grass, plant, or pave over it. Tell us what you plan to do there and we grind to suit it.
- With the removal or on its own. Grinding while the crew is already on site is the cheapest way to do it. We also grind stumps from trees somebody else removed.
- Surface roots. Big pines and maples send roots across a lawn. We can chase the worst of them; ask on the estimate.
- What we need to know. Anything buried near the stump: irrigation, a gas line, a septic tank, low-voltage lighting. We check utility locates before we grind near a property line.
